Tartube / Youtube-dl not working [SOLVED]

Hi guys, not sure when this stopped working, but I am unable to download anything: Error with no uploader id.
I have updated youtube-dl via CLI to latest version, but still no luck.

Is it me, or are others having issues also?

youtube-dl is unmaintained and dead. Thats why for MGA9 the requirement for tartube switched from youtube-dl to yt-dlp

MGA8 is nearing it's end and i don't believe that anybody will update tartube/youtube-dl for MGA8 as we still have outstandig bugs for this old version:

If you want an easy to use GUI downloader, use clipgrab. It is available for MGA8 and MGA9 and uses the up to date yt-dlp downloader. It is way more user friendly then tartube.

Will tartube be removed upon update to mga9, or should I remove it manually?

It will not be removed. As i already wrote, for MGA9 tartube got modified to use yt-dlp.
