This is mostly for information...
I have two computers..one with Mageia 8 with Tartube 2.3.332 and the latest youtube-dl. The other computer is running Mageia 9 Alpha, Tartube 2.3.367, and the latest version of youtube-dl, and yt-dlp.
Mageia 8 computer downloads (from Youtube) at a speed of around 80kbits/second (although you can download several files simultaneously at that speed)
Mageia 9 computer downloads (using yt-dlp) (from Youtube) MUCH faster...up to the maximum speed of my Internet connection I saw a speed of up to 19MB/second.

FWIW, youtube-dl is not really maintainted anymore upstream, and yt-dlp is basically the successor for youtube-dl

Perhaps yt-dlp should be included in Mageia instead of youtube-dl.

On Mageia 9 you have both yt-dlp and youtube-dl in repositories and it is up to the user tho chose which to use when setting up tartube.
