[SOLVED]Kernel Flavor to Install?

Postby Germ » May 6th, '22, 15:25

This may seem odd to most of you, but I've never ran anything but the 32bit Mageia so have never done a 64bit install.

I have a 64bit laptop now and am going to do the 64bit install this evening. Intel i7 quad core with 8GB DDR3.

Which kernel should I use or will the installer pick the right on? I know the 32bit kernel-desktop only supports 4GB RAM and am not sure about the 64bit. Do I need the server kernel?

Thanks
