I wanted to install networkmanager-applet,whick is widely used on other disros with xfce de.But it wouldn't work after installing and rebooting.
I was used to manage my connections through this tool with GUI.Is there any way to make it work correctly?
And I noticed that it works if I use Live CD ISO.But I thought installing through Live CD will make many packages I don't need installed.

Fortunately the installer faithfully copies the Live system as you have set it up, provided that your additions (and deletions) are in effect prior to the start of the installation.

when you installed network manager, did you also install
Code: Select all
networkmanager-applet

Well,An Mageia Network Manager was auto installed through Classical ISO.All I did was installed the package called "networkmanager-applet".
After rebooting, there was an icon on the system tree.I single clicked it and the sign said "Network Manager is not working".

By default Mageia uses net-applet (except for Gnome). If you want to switch to networkmanager you have to follow some steps. You have now only the networkmanager-applet without underlaying networkmanager service running.
