Error in timezone package

Postby epp » Nov 1st, '21, 18:49

I have Mageia 8 installed in a virtual machine, Debian is the host OS, using virt-manager to create the VM. The LXQt desktop is the only desktop installed.

Today, I noticed the clock in the LXQt panel is now off by one hour (-1) displaying one hour earlier than it actually is, yet the LXQt Date & Time Settings window shows the correct time and time zone (America/New York). In the U.S., the states that observe Standard Time, do not move the clocks back one hour until 2:00 AM local time Sunday November 8.

Am wondering if there is an error in the tzdata package, causing incorrect time to be displayed? I have three other virtual machines installed with different Linux distributions, one of them is also displaying the incorrect time (-1 hour), but the remaining two are displaying the correct time.

Thank you in advance.
