(Solved) Help configuring wireless mouse to wake up computer

Hello everyone!

Just installed Mageia 8 on my computer and WOW! Great!

I am asking how to get my wireless mouse to wake up my Dell Optiplex 755 computer when it has gone into suspend. I have gotten this far: "[root@localhost user]# echo enabled > /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb3/power/wakeup" and it is working as long as I don't reboot the system.

My question is, what command do I need to run, or what do I need to do to make it stick from session to session (shutting computer down, rebooting, and it still remembering to let the mouse wake the computer from suspend)?

Please take me through the steps. I am new to the differences between debian based distros and rpm based distros.

Thanks in advance for the wisdom and help on this matter!

FWIW, if you want to put this into /etc/rc.d/rc.local you have to create the file and afterwards make that executable via chmod 755 /etc/rc.d/rc.local as otherwise the respective systemd service rc-local.service will not run what's inside /etc/rc.d/rc.local

You can also do it via a native systemd service as mentioned in e.g. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12136
