Hi,
Very often shutdown takes too long and sometimes it does not work.
I get a message about " waiting to stop job running for Session c4 for user ..."
Don't know what causes it but found (googling) that watchdog can prevent this...
To get watchdog.service running I had to install watchdog myself.
Any reason why watchdog is not installed by default in Mageia linux?
Thanks

Hi there, watchdog cannot "prevent" this, and is meant for something totally different.
This issue is usually caused by 3rd party software which does not exit properly. You would have to check your logs after a reboot (journalctl -ab-1 | tail -2500) what software caused this or check what is running in your user session before you shutdown.
