Axiom Computer Algebra System

Postby DifferentialPrime » Nov 7th, '11, 19:17

Hello,

I've been trying, without any luck, to install the Axiom computer algebra system (http://axiom-developer.org/index.html). There are pre-compiled binaries at http://www.axiom-developer.org/axiom-website/download.html. I downloaded the Mandriva src because I thought it would be closest to Mageia. However, I haven't got it to compile yet.

Axiom was installable in Mandriva through the repos, but it is not in the repos for Mageia. Are there plans to include Axiom in the repos in the future?

Thanks.

Actually there is no seperate Mandriva source tarball, this is the same for all distributions for Axiom, if you look at the links.
If you want this to be included into Mageia please fill a package request: https://bugs.mageia.org/enter_bug.cgi?p ... mat=guided
and select "New RPM package request" as Component.
