Mageia 8 getting latest release

Postby brm » Mar 1st, '21, 22:38

Hi all. This installation of Mageia 8 was installed a week before the official release. It was a release candidate I believe.
So far Mageia says it has no new software to install. I would like to confirm that it is running the full Mageia 8. Any ideas?

You can check what you have in /etc/mageia-release.

You should check what repos you have enabled via
Code: Select all
urpmq --list-media active --list-url
and if
Code: Select all
urpmi --auto-update
reports that no packages need to be updated then you have Mageia 8.

urpmi --auto-update did the job resulting in many updates - thanks for this.

also a list of my repos - hope they are correct.

Great.
It seems you have double set of same repo, same mirror, so delete the *distrib*
