[SOLVED] copy configuration files during installation

I want to install mageia on new hardware but I need to keep some configuration files from the old system. Is it possible to copy them from an USB stick to the new system just before I have to restart it for the first time?

Why not simply copy them afterwards, after the fresh installation ?

OK, I guess you are right. Rebooting the system once more should not matter.
