Burn Windows ISO to USB stick

Well, it is easy to burn linux iso to usb with dd or unetbootin but both failed when I am trying to burn a windows 10 iso to usb on Mageia. What's your suggestion for this? I guess it is a quite common issue.

Well, this might be the wrong question, as this is not a windows forum.
Apart from that, you don't mention what tool you used to write the windows image, and how it failed.

But as far as I'm aware, you can't just write a windows 10 image to USB that way. Have a look at https://itsfoss.com/bootable-windows-usb-linux/

Windows does fail to boot when using linux tools.

you will have to create the USB from windows, Microsoft provides a free USB writer for this purpose.

edit: the end result is unusual, in that you can add files into the USB free space without causing the bootable USB image to fail on boot.

the tool I used are:

dd command in terminal
UNetboot

Edit: Found a dedicated app called WoeUSB on github (https://github.com/slacka/WoeUSB). it is a Linux program to create a Windows USB stick installer from a real Windows DVD or image. Credit to this uubyte post for sharing this great app.

As mentioned, dd will not work. For unetbootin you should take a look at the documentation for that: https://unetbootin.github.io/#faq

Also, did you read the article that I linked, which explains how you should be able to make it work.

I do check the doc. but still no success with unetbootin. I will try to create a windows virtual machine and finish the work

The article I linked to does not require a windows virtual machine, but if you want to try that way ...
