I have been able to run the latest version of the drawing app Krita using their appimage files. But after upgrade to Mageia 7.1 I can't because of incompatible
Qt libraries, I suspect some of the qt5-python libs. Are there anything I can do?
Here's the error from the promt: Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x50c06) with this library (version 0x50c07)

Seems you would need to unset QT_PLUGIN_PATH, either in /etc/profile.d/60qt5.sh and/or /etc/profile.d/60qt5.csh
or it might also work if you unset it in your ~/.bashrc or within an .sh script below ~/.config/plasma-workspace/env/
That was reported upstream as
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416474 and in our bugzilla as
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25038 &
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26112

OK, thanks! I can now run it from the terminal by writing "unset QT_PLUGIN_PATH" and then run the appimage. I am not sure how to unset it in the sh/csh files, but this is fine for the time being. Thanks a lot!

You can literally put "unset QT_PLUGIN_PATH" into your ~/.bashrc
That should be sufficient.

That worked. Thanks, mate, it's a great help in my daily life. If you ever need some free art for your office or home I make creative commons work and post them here:
