couldn't find matching udev device

Hi,

Having a problem attaching my samsung android phone. I keep getting the following error 'couldn't find matching udev device' in a popup. From uname -r

Code: Select all
5.4.17-desktop-1.mga7


Using lxqt with compiz and working well.

Did you try different USB ports and different cables? As others had this issue with some USB 3.0 ports, and when cables were too long.
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!

Yes. I have a collection of usb cables of various lengths. Some of them seem to be for charging and others will charge and pass data. I know that it is not a cable issue.
