[SOLVED] how to recursively delete a directory

Greetings to the Mageia community.
Again to find a solution with your support and collaboration.

I've been trying to run a scanner (Acer FlatbedScanner22 flatbed scanner SW2 5300U), with Mageia 7.

Once I have come to check if the system detects the scanner,
Terminal capture:

Code: Select all
[crez @ localhost ~] $ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b: 0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b: 0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 04a5: 20b0 Acer Peripherals Inc. (now BenQ Corp.) S2W 3300U / 4300U
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b: 0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 03f0: 0604 HP, Inc DeskJet 840c
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b: 0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0458: 003a KYE Systems Corp. (Mouse Systems) NetScroll + Mini Traveler / Genius NetScroll 120
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b: 0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Code: Select all
[crez @ localhost ~] $ scanimage -L
device `v4l: / dev / video0 'is a Noname Kworld Plus TV Analog Lite PCI virtual device
device `snapscan: libusb: 004: 002 'is a Acer FlatbedScanner22 flatbed scanner
[crez @ localhost ~] $

I find that the directory:
usr / share / sane / firmware

It has been self-replicated at least 20 times.

What happen?; How can I delete those directories that are projected so many times?

Thanks in advance.

[code][/code]

I extend my excuses to the group.
Investigating AFTER making the post, I found a way to delete super duplicate directories:

***
rm -r
***
"Ignorance is the worst of the Evils .."
***

I didn't find out why those directories were duplicated but I already got a page on the Internet that explains how to make the scanner work on Linux.

So consider this post as RESOLVED.

Sorry and my greeting.
