Not real problems but a couple of strange things.

Since upgrade to Mageia 7, at every system boot it appears atop the screen the message "Building rtl8192eu driver..." not matter what. I think that it should appear only after a kernel upgrade, am I right? It stays for some time, then all proceeds OK. Not a problem, but some waste of time at start.

2. This appears to be a Plasma related issue, so not sure if have to ask somewere else. After logging in, when the KDE environment is starting, I am greeted with a dialog box telling that to mount "WDC WD10EZEX-08M (/dev/sdb1)" root pasword is needed. Now /deb/sdb1 is a partition I that I keep spare to test OSes (not often) in the real machine after doing in a VM. It is not mounted most of the time; in fact, I can't remember the last time I mounted it (usually I switch the order of disks in BIOS).
Again, only a nuisance but it shouldn't happen.

If somebody can give me clues, I will be happy.

For 2. please create a separate thread. Either take care it's not mounted automatically or add a polkit rule so you can mount internal partitions as regular user.

is giving me errors, neither -autorebuild nor --autorebuild is recognized, and I couldn't find in help anything similar

However, after the last nvidia line, the command waits, apparently forever (after 10 minutes nothing else happens, retried several times). Hope what is needed is there.

Perhaps I should remark that my wifi dongle is Atheros 9287 based, not Realtek. I had a Realtek one years before, about Mga 5 era.

So as the build fails, it's tried again and again. Although either you've forgotten to add some of the rpm -qa output, but you should only have the rtl8192eu dkms module if you have the package dkms-rtl8192eu installed. Or you've manually installed a dkms version of rtl8192eu driver at some point in time.

Please post the output of

What you probably want to do, in case you're really sure that you don't need the rtl8192eu driver for anything, and if it hasn't been installed by an rpm, is to remove all of the compiled modules, like so:

dkms remove -m rtl8192eu -v 1.0 --all

And if that succeeds, remove everything below and including /usr/src/rtl8192eu-1.0 itself.

Apart from that, the bug you see why it's not building during boot for newer kernels is probably the same as https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25309

Coming back after the weekend, these matters happen in my work machine.

Which, translated, means

The file /usr/src/rtl8192eu-1.0/dkms.conf does not belong to any package

which I think means that I can delete all that safely, am I right?
And, yes, it is that bug.

Yes, but make sure you first remove the dkms "registration" as mentioned, before deleting the actual file/directories below /usr/src/rtl8192eu-1.0

And you don't remember installing that driver module manually ?

Ok, uninstalled from dkms, which showed a bunch of old 4.x kernel installations, not 5.x (probably because the install failed in new kernels). That made me remember to clean old stuff, but this is another matter.
Removed source, rebooted and Fine! the message gone.
I do not remember installing it recently. Once in time I had a realtek wifi donlge, but I am sure that was before mga 7.
Anyway, it is solved. Thanks!
