Mageia-7 i586 5.3.6-desktop-2.mga7
Very slow operation in the desktop wallpaper management window. Opening the window slows down the toolbar menu.
After closing the desktop wallpaper management window, the system works quickly.

I have faced the same problem in many distros with KDE.

Very high CPU usage, in some KDE System settings sections.

The only thing I have found (long time ago) was to configure it to "Icon view" ─ never "Sidebar view", since it was added ─ maybe, because my hardware is very old and low-end.

Doing so, I have reduced the problem just to some sections.

I don't know how to solve it. I am just avoiding to deal with this. Using the same Wallpaper for a long time.
