Where are the folders that are then packaged into the image via Draklive2?

The root filesystem can be found in <workdir>/<iso-name>/root. The boot files can be found in <workdir>/<iso-name>/boot. and <workdir>/<iso-name>/EFI. For <workdir>, see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Draklive2#workdir.
