Mageia on Synology VM Errors, Won't Load

Hello all!

I heard about this great server OS, downloaded the ISO and mounted it into a VM to see if it's the OS for my network. After evaluating it on a VM, I opted to install it on my Synology 4 Disk NAS and incorporate it into our business network.

I've installed, removed and reinstalled, I can't get to a login screen after everything installs. I even skipped the updates section of the install so I could (hope) log into it and troubleshoot from there, but alas ...

One of the messages that I can see is:
IPV6 des not support BROADCAST matching

At the top of the screen. It keeps blinking and sits there. I've modified the settings of the VM, providing it with 2 CPU cores and 2 Gigs of ram. I really want to use this as our network OS ... can anyone offer any help, please?

Hi there, this is basically the same situation as in another recent thread. I suggest you to read my reply: viewtopic.php?p=74962#p74962

Hi,

Welcome to our forum! Which Mageia iso did you choose and which desktop? What is the purpose of the Mageia installation?

The message is only the last one before starting the graphical server. It can be ignored. Synology VM seems to be proprietary software and not identical with Virt-Manager in the Linux world.

Which graphic card did you choose? Is there a choice named virtio? Any possibility to select 3D acceleration?

Best regards,
Bequimão
