[RESOLVED] Update disappeared

I received a popup notification that a Mageia software update was available and clicked to install it. The installer dialog came up and said I needed to choose an update alternative to continue, and it presented three alternatives. I left the default first alternative selected and clicked on the button to continue. Then a long warning list of packages that had to be uninstalled due to conflicts was presented, so I deselected all of the update packages and quit the installer. I expected that the mageia software updater would recycle and I would be able to try a different update alternative, but the next cycle of the mgaapplet updater said the packages were all up to date, so it seems the update set disappeared.

I can confirm some same behavior this morning.
Now, two hours later, updates (mainly libreoffice) are installing fine.

My auto update also wanted to remove dozens of files, I cancelled out. I was assuming there may be an incomplete set of files for the update and intended to re-run it later or tomorrow. DO I need to do something or will waiting be enough (clear the list of selected files for example)

Re-starting the update - same list of almost two hundred of files, (including -> plasma-workspace-5.12.2-1.mga6.x86_64).

They greatest reason (and possibly first reason) appears to be "due to conflicts with kde-l10n-en_GB[< 17.04.3-1])"

My system seems to think that all of the updates have been applied, although I explicitly prevented that from happening. Now when I ran "urpmi.update --update" a minute ago, it said that all of my distribution repositories are up-to-date. I suspect that the problem might be in drakrpm, because that segfaults when I click on quit to end a session of using it.

Which locales packages do you have installed, and what media did you use to install Mageia, live or regular DVD ?

This was my fault, because I selected a downlevel version of Libreoffice to update that wasn't installed. I recovered from the error by updating my distribution repositories and selecting the proper version of Libreoffice to be updated.

The first alternative shown that I accepted as the default was kde4..., but my system has kf5... installed. No wonder!

Just as an aside, I thought I'd seen drakrpm segfault, and perhaps I did, but it's drakconf that segfaults upon exit from Mageia Control Center, as shown below:

FYI, the libreoffice update is being removed from the mirrors temporarily, whilst the dependency problems are addressed.

I re-ran the updater applet and it offered only to upgrade a tiff related file. It didn't offer to upgrade anything else yesterday.

MCC this morning offers to upgrade three files one being the kernel. I am going to upgrade those now. There are no libreoffice upgrades offered.

NEW, This is weird if I open konsole and run

it says all packages are up to date. If I go back to MCC it offers to upgrade cpupower, kernel-desktop-latest and ldetect-lst

The kernel offered is 4.18.20 and the kernel I'm running is 4.14.100.

That's not really an answer to the question ...

But anyways, en-GB / en-US are the default languages and are usually contained with the program itself, hence they do not require additional language packs.

Open Mageia Control Center and go to Software Management, Configure Media Sources, then select File, Update and click on Select All and Update. This will update your distribution repositories. After this refresh the software updater will probably find the Libreoffice updates to be applied again.

I did update all in MCC using File in 'Configure your sources.'

Now when I click MCC 's "Upgrade your system" it offers nothing.

Konsole and CLI "urpmi --auto-update --auto
now says "Packages are up to date."

The offer to upgrade to Kernel 4.18.20 is gone, cpupower and ldetec too.
