So you think by simply ignoring the dependency errors would magically make it work?

You may want to read up on https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Cauldron#Who ... ldn.27t.3F
If you care about yumex, then report a bug in our bugzilla.

Apart from that, use one of the other package manager frontends.
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!
Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!

Doktor5000
Thanks for your reply.
The fact is that MCC update worked flawlessly.
But I was curious to taste both Mageia 7 (It was announced by this name) and DNF.
If you believe that it is too early for an experienced user to try, I'll drop it and will wait for the official release.

No, of course not.
I use exclusively dnf since about 2 years. Yumex is not essential. Did not even know that such program exists.
I use for system upgrade # dnf upgrade --refresh or Packagekit, i.e. plasma-pk-updates.

If there are dependency problems, someone should open a bug report. Otherwise the developers would not know.
I did it now: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24100
