log in problem after changing resolution

After installing mageia 6.1 live xfce my resolution is not properly detected only 1024x768. When i changed resolution to 1280x1024 in Mageia Control Center->Set up the graphical server i can't log in as a normal user anymore i can only log in as root. Is there any fix for this?

Yes, you can run drakx11 from failsafe mode and change back to the original resolution or preferrably to a Plug&Play monitor.

I don't know how to boot into failsafe mode so i installed it again.
