Power Management

Postby woodyb12 » Oct 6th, '18, 13:39

I am using Magia 6. I am having a problem with the monitor going off, or, logging me off. I have set the "Power Saving " mode to the "off" setting; however I have not found a way to keep the system from auto-logging me out. This occured even before the update 10-06-18.
How can I fix this?

SOLVED!

What desktop environment are you using? And please also post the output of
Code: Select all
xset q

And the problem is that your monitor is turning off after some time, or the screenlocker enables and you have to provide your password to unlock it - or are you actually logged off?

I suppose the screen is locking, but I have to re-enter my password. I soppose if it were logging me off I would see the "user-choose" screen; but, that is not the case. I merely have to sign-in again.

I believe I have solved the problem. In KDE there are two(2) settings that controll the display: They are " Energy Saving", and " Desktop Behavior->Screen Lock" settings in
the "Control Panel".
I appreciate the quick responses from doktor5000! Thanks!
