Adobe blocks use of flash unless you have the latest version. Linux distros like to package flash correctly. My partner does not understand why we cannot use the online game for a few days until that package is ready.

Is the solution obvious, never use a mageia flash rpm and just DL adobe's tar ball and move it around the file system until flash plays?

Its a real question, I dont use flash, but new to linux partner doesnt understand.

FWIW, Adobe does not block use of flash, that is incorrect. Usually the sites that host flash applications implement version checks of some kind.

In general there are several options, see our MAQeia for that: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=880
Easiest way would probably be to use Google Chrome.
