[SOLVED]Switch from kernel-default to kernel-tmb on optimus

Hello,

i am running Mageia 6 64bit here on my optimus workstation and so far iam happy with it. But in some cases the system has some kind of stuttering (for example in games) and i want to check if is kernel related. So
i just want to ask what is the best procedure to switch to this kernel. I assume that installing kernel-tmb-latest and kernel-tmb-devel-latest is mandatory. After booting into the new kernel will dkms recompile the bbswitch-module
for the new kernel ?

Greetings

Patric

Installing the -latest meta packages would only be mandatory if you want to get updates automatically, not for testing it only, but it won't hurt.
And yes, dkms should rebuild the module for the tmb kernel once you boot into it for the first time.

Worked fine as described. Great optimus support btw.
