(Solved) MAME needs liblua5.3

I see that there is MAME in the core repos, but it requires liblua5.3 which is not yet included. From which repo can I find and install liblua5.3, or am I better off to wait until it hits the stable core repo?

liblua5.3 is available via core/backports_testing. See

Thanks doktor5000, I installed it, and was able to get MAME up and running.
