enlightenment not starting

Installed enlightenment and checked for entry in /usr/share/xsessions. When I logon using the enlightenment desktop I get a screen with a wallpaper and nothing else. No right or left click menu. Thanks.

What did you install in particular? And does that also happen for a newly created user?

Sorry for taking to long but I instead now use openbox. I installed all the enlightenment packages using the mageia package installation program.

Are all dependencies installed? Perhaps try to full "task-enlightement" package first, and then also double check the "task-minimal-enlightenment"

I have enlightenment running out of the box, with my last 2-3 versions of Mageia. I always run it parallell to KDE, and have never experienced any problems. For me, the enlightenment packages are well tested and quite stable in Mageia 4, 4.1, 5, 5.1, 6

I would assume its data that is used by different DE's usually to improve the overall desktop/os experience.

Maybe try deleting hidden acoount folders .e and .elementary logout an setup again, if no good try reinstalling efl and efl-devel enlightenment enlightenment-devel and enlightenment-data rpms or try newer e22.
Enlightenment is a nice desktop
