GRUB issue with new kernel installs

Postby scorpian60 » Oct 24th, '17, 18:29

I have an issue where every time I install a new kernel, the root partition (which is a VM), does not get populated in GRUB.

title linux
kernel (hd0,4)/vmlinuz BOOT_IMAGE=linux root=/dev/ splash quiet nokmsboot resume=/dev/vg01/swap vga=788
root (hd0,4)
initrd /initrd.img

(should be /dev/vg00/root)

This has been consistent over the Mageia 4,5,6
