Atom.io Install on Mageia 6 and APMD( still needed ? )

Hi fiolks, Just as info as I didn't find anything in Mageia forums, I managed to install Atom.io fine on Mag6 , following the same paths of https://github.com/atom/atom/issues/9893 which worked well for Mag5. In sum that's a conflict between APM( Atom's package manager) and APMD ( apm daemon), both with same name "apm" . As I agreed that apmd is "horribly outdated and unsupported" and won't have any impact in my system, I just removed it and installed atom.x86_64.rpm very well and atom is running. But as some post in https://github.com/atom/atom/issues/3926 raised, is apmd still needed to be installed by default these days ? I search all over my config files in /boot and none has any mention on APM, juts ACPI. Maybe it should be dropped from the default packages as it's for outdated machines which probably won't run Mag6 due to old video cards issues anyway. It's just a suggestion for now. Another issue is how can I open a request to have atom.io packged as a mageia package ?
tks..

Both should be handled via bug reports. Check https://wiki.mageia.org/en/How_to_report_a_bug_properly
For completeness's sake and also to allow others to follow up on that bug report, please also post the link to it here in the thread, thanks.

For a package request see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/How_to_repor ... ge_request
But i believe there are already two package requests for this:
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17873
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20878

You are right doc, both bugs are exactly for this. Already commented on both, let's see if we get success. Thanks for the promptly answer as usual.
