Thank you for all the work you have already put into Mageia.

It works well and is very easy to install and make functional.

I think I may have found the reason for this happening.

I have the habit of clicking on New Game button, the on the minimize button in the top right window corner. that is the left most button in this screenshot. The reason for the multiple buttons may be that I changed my habit of one long session, maybe two, per day into playing multiple times per day in short one or two game sessions. I am used to 30 second minimum waits before cold boot, but it happened even in those cases.

Clearly, I am the reason for this happening, BUT as surely, a cold boot should either clear RAM or over-write it without linking into what is there already. This is similar to the Windows File History mess which was one of the reasons why I kicked that habit. This is also the reason why I said in the bug report that I suspect the dicky Mga6 cold boot to be related to this.

Will keep you posted on what happens with the kill button.

The kill button seems to have done it. Only one instance of KPatience was revived. Must have been one I did not kill when I kiled the sixteen others. Played a few and specifically killed them all. Boot up was quick after about 3 minutes on a garden walkabout. Browser and Network Centre also came up after a cold boot. Did not kill them.

No, the default is to restore the previous session, if you want to start with an empty KDE session then you would need to configure that via systemsettings
