Problem with MCC...maybe

OK, so I'm trying to manually update my system (Mageia 6 x86-64, upgraded from Mageia 6rc X86-64). So I run MCC - Update My system and I get nothing. I have the update sources installed. It says either there are no updates (I find that hard to believe) or I have installed them all (also hard to believe)
Anyone have any ideas why the update software list is always empty?
Thank you.

it is possible you are tied to a mirror that has not updated.
check which mirror you are tied to and then check your mirror status :
https://mirrors.mageia.org/status(
http://mirrors-usa.go-parts.com/mageia shows as not updated since 2016-12-05 17:07 )
suggest you remove your existing repos and manually add one that is current and reasonably fast and close to you :

Ok, so I have followed benmc's instructions, which worked, after checking the status to see which mirrors are good.
When configuring the media sources, MCC d/l a bunch of them. But when I checked their URLs, all they say is $MIRRORLIST and no updates ever came up.
