I have done a fresh install of M6 with KDE desktop. I would like to try Gnome. Is there a way to now install the Gnome graphical environment so I can boot into it?

Hi leon244

Open konsole as root and
Code: Select all
urpmi task-gnome

it will offer also task-gnome-minimal. both are required

or from MCC if you prefer,
in the search bar,
Code: Select all
task-gnome
.

the results window will offer task-gnome and task-gnome minimal.

after install, logout and choose Gnome(on Wayland), Gnome(on Xorg), or Gnome (classical) (and there may also be just Gnome)
