Firefox 52 and DRM content (play.spotify.com)

Postby asimov-solensan » Jun 15th, '17, 20:22

Hello,

I upgraded my desktop to mageia 5.1 and suddenly I cannot use play.spotify.com. And I'm pretty sure I didn't got sound in other services, but that's the only one I use often.

My laptop still has an older version and that works. It complains about DRM content but I have got it enable din the options.

As told this started happening in mageia 5.1 and firefox 52.1.0. It was a clean installation, maybe I need to install other components by hand?

Thanks for the help.

Which flash plugin do you have installed, and can you test that on other sites? Please also have a look at our MAQeia for flash player plugin: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=880

EDIT: Hmm, does not seem to be applicable anymore, see e.g. the second to last comment at https://community.spotify.com/t5/Deskto ... -p/1613209

That thread was really useful. Indeed I had no intention of installing flash in that computer. I will try to install it and block as they say.

Thanks for your help.

Why not install the native player?

That's what I did on my laptop, and I guess I will do the same in this desktop.

Thanks for the suggestion.
