Upload preview size

Hi,
Running Mageia 5 with KDE.

When using Dolphin, photo previews work perfectly in all file sizes. Now, if I want to upload a photo say to Facebook, or an email attachment, I can only see previews of pictures below around 1mb in the dialogue box. I've tried every setting I can find, no joy. Driving me nuts.

Any ideas? Thank you.

What do you have in dolphin settings regarding thumbnail previews? I believe the default is to only create them for 1MB local files, you could turn that up.
And to be clear, you're talking about the preview in the filepicker dialog, right?

In preferences/general/previews there doesn't seem to be any setting for preview size of local files and indeed I can see all photo sizes in the file manager itself.

Yes, the problem only presents itself in the file picker dialogues. I experimented with pics less than 1mb and they preview correctly, but when I select a larger pic size the preview disappears (both in the same directory).

There is a setting in preferences/general/preview, which limits the size of remote file previews, but I have that set quite high to view images on my phone, that also works perfectly.
I'm sure it's just a setting somewhere, but I'll be blowed if I can find it!

Hmmm! I just tried placing a 3.2mb .png image in the directory, and it displays correctly when selected. So it would seem to be an issue with .jpg images over a certain size.

Strange.
