SOLVED: Bluefish Zencoding plugin

Postby GNUguy » Jan 21st, '17, 08:54

If I understand correctly, Bluefish has built-in support for Zencoding since 2.2.1. However, it's not in my BF plugins. Have I missed something or is the plugin planned for an upcoming release of Mageia?

Thanks in advance for any help re this.

Seems that plugin requires python integration which needs to be explicitly enabled (via --enable-python) even when it defaults to enabled. I've rebuilt it locally with that option and the zencoding plugin is there.
Seems to be also reported here as a result: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=764278

Best report that as a bug, after searching if it hasn't been reported yet already: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/How_to_report_a_bug_properly
For completeness's sake and also to allow others to follow up on that bug report, please also post the link to it here in the thread, thanks.

FWIW, if you need the zencoding plugin for mga5, you can use my rebuilt package:
bluefish-2.2.6-5.1.mga5.x86_64.rpm

Thank you very much, Dok. That is very generous of you to provide it and I really appreciate the assist. I'm just getting started on a project for which I'll be using Bootstrap3 and the Zencoding plugin will be a big help.

Downloaded and installed. Once again. Thank you.
