Hi. Welcome to Mageia.

Have a look here: http://www.linuxdevcenter.com/cmd/
And here: http://ss64.com/bash/

For detailed help and useage, open a terminal and type "man" and the name of the command.

As in:
Code: Select all
man dump

Hit "Enter"

Thank you, Germ, for the reply.

But, what does "urpmi or urpme" mean?

urpm is Mageia's package manager. urpmi installs software packages. urpme removes them.

https://wiki.mageia.org/en/URPMI#The_co ... _interface

It's an overview. The site contains much details or use the man pages (as Germ already noted), e. g. enter "man urpmi" (use page up/down to scroll and hit "q" to quit).

Edit: urpm stands for "User Redhat Package Manager" [1] [2] [3]
