Is the mirrorlist feature broken?

While trying out mga6 sta1 isos, I found that there were MD5SUM errors during the process of adding online media in the Mageia installer. The workaround was to specify a mirror manually. I didn't worry too much about it because it is cauldron.

But yesterday I went back to some Mageia 5 VMs that I hadn't used in a while, and I found that the same MD5SUM error was occurring while trying to update media, and I was forced to remove the "Mirrorlist" media and specify a single mirror instead.

Is there some breakage with the mirrorlist feature?

No, there's no breakage, it's just that currently it's not possible to automatically failover to another mirror in case the default one fails.
This will only start to work once our mirror infrastructure was switched to mirrorbrain and when using dnf:
See https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Feature:Add_ ... ry_Manager and https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Using_DNF
