Ignoring BGRT: invalid status 0 (expected 1)

Postby varun_saa » Jul 3rd, '16, 11:36

Hello,

My system is as follows :

Asus H110M-A / i3 6th gen. / 8Gb DDR4 ram
monitor - Dell S2216H

I Installed windows-7/64bit UEFI mode.

Then I instaled Mageia-5/64bit UEFI mode.

Installation went smooth. Except it did not pick up my
Dell monitor. It was not there in the vendor list.
I manually set as " flat panel 1920x1080"

I have the dual boot screen.

I am able to boot into windows.

I am not able to fully boot into Mageia. The splash sreen comes
and starts the boot process. Then stops and I have a blank screen
with the following message : " [ 0.029918 ] Ignoring BGRT: invalid status 0 (expected 1) "

Can anybody help me out ?

Thanks

Can you attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log for such a boot?
BTW, usually it's better to simply select plug&play monitor and nothing specific regarding resolution. This can get you into all sorts of trouble with the X server if you hardcode the monitor.

I ran a resintall via upgrade method and reached end.

There in the settings page I tried to select " plug&play ",
but it saved as " custom " option.

When I rebooted the problem remained the same.

Do you think I should do a fresh install and try and select plug&play ?

Would it make a difference ?

Thanks in advance
