bright flash on screen at shutdown

When I shut down Mageia-5 there is a FLASH right at the end. That is to say:-
click shutdown;
desktop goes plain;
then there is a short wait;
then for just a second there is a mouse cursor again;
then a VERY-BRIGHT, WHITE FLASH;
then goes to remaining OFF sequence.
How can I prevent that FLASH?
