3.x kernel in Mageia 1?

Postby DiBosco » Sep 12th, '11, 12:02

Is there an RPM for kernel 3.x for Mageia 1 or will I have to either try Cauldron or compile the kernel myself?! Thanks. :)

These won't be an RPM for kernel 3.x in Mageia 1, for this would be a huge update/backport and we can't guarantee the stability of Mageia 1 then. We don't want to break the installs of most of our users :)

Still, kernel 3.x is running find in Cauldron if you want to test it, though keep in mind that "Cauldron is not for the faint of heart", and should not be used in production. Or you may compile it yourself, but I wish you good luck :P
