the wizards for tables, reports, forms, don't open
other than base, wizards seem to work
I don't know if moving to the newest version will help, but it would be a step

Maybe I'm not in position to reply, i'm not an experience user but, some linux users have problems with libreoffice if java is not updated.

No libreoffice requires java so no need to manually install it.
