i have change my user, and the icon in systemtry is disappeared ;
because my original has be damaged

i have try to create a new user with a new installations of dropbox but without success .

also i have two zombi processes kwalletd and ionice

It would be helpful if you provide some essential details.

- what Mageia release and what desktop environment do you use?
- how did you change your user in particular, and what was damaged before?
- how did you install dropbox initially?

And please provide the output of the following commands run as your new user:

So dropbox is installed and also running. Seems only icon doesn't show up. Do you maybe have kfilebox running?

i have try to restart x session , but without success , dropbox starting without iicon in sistemtry, and i have the sames two zombi process iconice, and kwalletd

well, excuse me other time for the "code tags" missed; i'm definitively sure that before dropbox starting in systemtry without kfilbox; the icons was different

the procedure of installation was different .

anyway , the zombie process with iconice and kwalletd , keep to be present ;

but the problem now is different, every time i'm starting the x session , kfilbox star with a new installation procedure ; and if i stopping , the program work but without correct configuration .

Original kfilebox what it's in Mageia 5 and Cauldron is released on 2012,i don't think it's anymore compatible with newer dropbox qt5 versions.
To doktor5000: could you please import this fork to Cauldron,if it can replace old kfilebox with plasma5 compatible one ?.

I've never said to install or start kfilebox, I was just checking if you maybe have it installed because it doesn't work, it interferes with dropbox and it's not required, better use the original gui.

Please uninstall it, and also remove the other dropbox packages. The only thing that is required for the installation as normal user is:

No I won't as I don't see the necessity, the upstream applet is working fine.

How was it different?

The difference with kfilbox is at the end of installation before to logon on dropbox; at this time have a gui that ask you if you want a gtk gui installation or a simple link.
have try in both mode .

and also the configuration interface is a little different .

I don't see what icon or GTK theme you chose, only a dropbox dialog.

this dialog appear only with kfilebox , with your command line or the dropbox bin package present in the repository, no!

anyway isn't the problem. the problem is is the icon in the systemtry, for menage dropbox option without shell, like start and stop. or configure different after the installation .

You are running in circles. Please quit kfilebox and uninstall it together with dropbox-bin package.
Then switch the icon theme or maybe also the GTK theme and try again to start dropbox.

It could also be an upstream issue - just tried, after updating to dropbox-lnx.x86_64-3.14.5 no more icon is shown.

After switching back to dropbox-lnx.x86_64-3.12.5 the icon is shown again.
