Halt command in UEFI grub reboots

Postby gohlip » Jan 3rd, '16, 17:02

Issuing "halt" command in grub prompt reboots the computer instead of
shutting down completely. This happens only in UEFI systems and not in
bios-legacy which works as it should. Computer does power down but
restarts again. Affects some motherboards and not others.

There is a fix in http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/grub.g ... 6ca0a6d752
I have made a bug report https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17437

Disclosure: My Mageia installation is at a bios-legacy/msdos setup and not at UEFI/GPT setup, so I cannot confirm definitively it affects Mageia.
But since it affects all my other OS's at UEFI/GPT, the likelihood is very high it is an upstream issue and hence 'should' affect Mageia too.

Are there any people here who faces the same problem?

Regards.
