Does Mageia 5 support the Intel Z170 chipset?

Thanks!

As this is nearly the same as Z97 I'd say sure, why not? Simply grab some live media and try it out.
Or check http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=a ... ming&num=1

For the integrated graphics you need this: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_5_Err ... ed_systems

Not to disagree with Doktors replay, but just to add, I recently had to certify a HP Gen9 on redhat 6.5

thats a C610/X99 chipset, and a 2.6.32-431.20.3 kernel and thats works fine.

so most of the newer chipsets have bbeen in the kernel for some while.

So I think you will find any kernel newer than that will also work.

you will know quite quickly as the kernel usual has a built in message that says

THIS HARDWARE GENERATION IS NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS KERNEL RELEASE

and that comes up during the start up of the installation or live cd kernel.

I also know that X or Z 99 series chipsets are not supported by the 2.6.18 series of kernels (aka redhat/centos version 5) but that X or Z 79 is.
