How Do I Open a PDF File [SOLVED]

Postby CRIS925 » Dec 15th, '15, 08:58

I recently downloaded a PDF file, but when I tried to open it with Libre Office Writer a small window popped up and asked for a password. Beneath the, "enter password to open file", were 6 letter, when I entered them into the window's password text box I got incorrect password. I went into properties and entered a password in the security section, but when I tried to open the PDF again I met the same problem. Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

It seems that this file is password protected for writing. I guess that's common for some pdf files.

Have you tried opening the file with 'Okular'
This is the one I use for reading PDF files.

Although your pdf file seems to be password protected; you may give a try to Okular if you're using KDE or Evince for Gnome or Atril for Mate...
