How to use /dev/ttyACM0 in Arduino IDE?

Postby janpihlgren » Oct 13th, '15, 07:45

I'm using Lenovo ThinkPad W701 with Mageia 5 x86_64.
I have installed Arduino IDE, both 1.0.5 and 1.6.4.
When I connect an Arduino Pro Micro from Sparkfun or Arduino Pro Micro(compatible) I'm not allowed to use /dev/ttyACM0. I only have to choose /dev/ttyS0.
The IDE will not detect any card att /dev/ttyS0.
/dev/ttyACM0 is used to upload the sketches.
How do I do to force Mageia or Arduino IDE to give me the possibility use /dev/ttyACM0+
