[SOLVED] Thunderbird crashes when trying to print

Postby leon244 » Aug 30th, '15, 03:38

Using Mageia 5, Thunderbird 38.2.0. I do not often print my emails, but had to print one today and noted TB crashed every time I tried to print. Running it from console, it opens and on the console is this:
Code: Select all
(process:6614): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed

Then I try to print and all I see on the console is
Code: Select all
Segmentation fault

I tried running it in safe mode and it still crashed. I found one online post that suggested removing gnome-vfs. However, when I try to do this via MCC it also wants to remove about 30 other packages, so I did not do that.
I looked in the cups error and access logs, but found nothing helpful.
I can print from FireFox without a problem.
Thunderbird functions normally otherwise as far as I can tell.
Appreciate any help in tracking down the issue that anyone can give.
My installed packages are: thunderbird-38.2.0-1.mga5
thunderbird-en_US-38.2.0-1.mga5

Thank you

I reinstalled the Thunderbird package with --replacepkgs and it now works. So that is the end of the issue.
