[SOLVED] How can I monitor CPU temperature?

I went to the install software and searched for lm-sensor, no results.

Ideally I would like a GUI based package, but command line is okay. Nice would be if the software could report on other internal temps as well.

I did find Hot-Babe, which is cute, but I'd like something a bit more informative.

TIA,

The package is
lm_sensors
and there are several ways to display the temperature information depending on desktop environment and where you want it displayed.

Thanks Ken,

There is a difference between lm-sensors and lm_sensors ;)

My bad.

If you tell us which desktop environment you use, we could give further hints. Most desktops have applets for monitoring system parameters, even without lm_sensors.

Thanks Doc,

Running KDE4.14. I did install lm_sensors, but if you've got some info on a GUI utility, would appreciate advice.

TIA,

There are several plasmoids / applets you can add, simply right-click on your desktop, and select "Add applet". Most of them are in the "system information" category, like bubblemon, hardware temperature and system monitor.
You can also install additional applets via the "get new applets" button on the right side.
