Parental control: limiting the duration of a session

Postby alopez » Aug 20th, '15, 20:25

Hi,

Is there a way to limit the duration of a session, using parental control or anything else?

I've seen that MacOS has this functionality and I find it quite useful to limit the time my children pass playing with to computer.

I have thought of doing something quite manual, but wanted to check if there is something already done in Mageia.

Thanks.

The parental control thing in MCC at least allows to restrict the time the internet connection can be used. See http://doc.mageia.org/mcc/5/en/content/drakguard.html

Apart from that, you could take a look at http://askubuntu.com/questions/68918/ho ... uting-time

The second link shows also how to do it via PAM, which is always present.
