calibre fails on mageia5

calibre fails on mageia5

I just loaded Mageia 5 from the dvd, but Calibre installs fine but then fail to start. Help?

Please run it from a terminal as normal user and post the complete output here.

was using it at the weekend no problem at all on mga5 64 kde/lxqt

works fine and updated wifes kindle no problem.
However i did load it from repos, not DVD.

try updating to repo version

As there's no update, there's no difference between DVD and repo version:
