I've been using Mageia in my old Notebook (Intel Centrino) for a while, in an evaluating effort (I've used Mandriva in it before, and I'm keeping using Mandriva in another one of my machines). It works well the most of times, but there are some behaviours I found particularly annoying: First, when I click on the shut-down bottom, the whole screen gets 'black' for almost 2 seconds and then the box with log-off/shut-down options appears. Once one option is selected, graphic mode goes and come, until it gets to the end (total shut-down, or login screen)...

Second: it seems to me that the system is taking too much time (more than 1 second!) before recognizing clicking on icons of the launch-bar, whenever I use an ordinary mouse or the touch-pad of my Note. I don't know if it is due to my configuration, or if it's due to other processes running in background that make KDE and the whole system lesser responsive...

Third: when I open Firefox, its window always opens using the half of screen size...That's weird (but I saw this only when opening Firefox during a session of main user, the 'virtual owner' of the Note -- my wife! When switching to other user, Firefox opens normally, already sizing its window to the whole available screen

In fact, I cannot say that such strange behaviours are exactly bugs (and they can be due to some misconfiguration of my old machine), but I think the system rather not 'behave' like that... Specially 'fading' screens during log-in/log-out processes give us the sensation that something is missing. Not to mention that slow responses to clicking in launch-icons is even worse! I my humble opinion, what actually makes the difference of a OS is its responsiveness and stability (and general safety, or course!)
Thanks in advance!
